As Israel continues it’s strong reaction against terrorism, the usual cast of world leaders/characters who regularly side with terrorists are denouncing Israel.
“One may well ask if there isn’t today a kind of wish to destroy Lebanon — its infrastructure, its roads, its communications, its energy, its airport. And for what?”
“I find honestly — as all Europeans do — that the current reactions are totally disproportionate,” –Jacques Chirac
Blog Chow Reaction: The kind of cowardly response you would expect from Chirac. Of course the response is disproportionate. That is how you win wars after you are attacked. If you respond proportionately, what is the deterrent? A strong message needs to be sent. That is what has been missing in the War on Terror. Will Israel keep it up? Stay tuned…
“I consider that all sides implicated in this conflict should immediately stop military action,” –Vladimir Putin
Blog Chow Reaction: I consider Putin to be a pervert. That aside, why should we listen to those who oppress their own people?
If you are the company you keep, then the U.N. is a terrorist organization. It is the biggest possible mistake to ever listen to the U.N. as well as some of the individual members. We need alliances that support freedom, not alliances with Russia, China and the likes.
“I totally understand the desire and the need for Israel to defend itself properly and I also understand the plight of Lebanon and the Lebanese government, not to say the many Palestinians that are suffering as well,” –Tony Blair
Blog Chow Reaction: A little more rational. War is hell.
“The best way to stop the violence is for Hezbollah to lay down its arms and to stop attacking. And therefore I call upon Syria to exert influence over Hezbollah.” –President Bush
So far President Bush has been pretty supportive of Israel. How long will that last? If history is any guide, probably not too long. He is walking a tightrope and that usually includes reigning Israel in. That is a mistake if Israel does reign it in any time soon. Better for all out war now than to wait for an attack which could destroy their Nation. Victory against aggressors is only won through strength – through victory. History shows us this very clearly. Complete victory such as that won in WWII. At the least, the message needs to be sent that any attacks will be met with very “disproportionate force.”
“After months of dodging Qassam rockets lobbed from vantage points in Gaza…after years of attacks by homicide bombers bent on the destruction of as many Jews as possible…after the kidnapping and murder of young Israeli, Eliyahu Asheri in the West Bank, and the abduction of Cpl. Gilad Shalit…after the threat that Shalit would be “butchered in front of TV cameras” if the Israelis tried to rescue him…after a Qassam rocket finally landed in the parking lot of a school in Ashkelon…Israel has said, “Enough is enough!””

Thus far Isreal really is the only country that has shown the proper response to terrorism, although in many regards they have shown incredible restraint. They could have crushed their enemies for many decades. They have not. That is proof of who the villains are in this – the enemies of Israel. They have sworn to drive Israel into the sea. There really is no comparison here whatsoever.
Israel was told that leaving Lebanon would bring peace. They were told that leaving Gaza would bring peace. They were led astray enormously by Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright. If they want peace, they need to do it the time tested way. To crush those who don’t want peace. It is time to suck it up and do what has to be done. It won’t be pretty, but if it is not done, there will be war like none other. There are too many threats today as a result of the Clinton years. We are running out of time to get off the road of false peace.
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
