Colin Powell’s phoniness continues to be exposed for all who are paying attention. His latest comments, along with his selling out of John McCain and hypocritical criticism of Sarah Palin show a man who has fully come out of the liberal closet and continues to jump on bandwagons.
“I think the party has to stop shouting at the world and at the country. I think that the party has to take a hard look at itself, and I’ve talked to a number of leaders in recent weeks and they understand that.”
So basically he wants the party to just be like liberals. I just love it when liberals want to tell conservatives how they should win elections. It is the kind of advice that will lead you down the path to ruin, which is what they are hoping for. Just who were those “leaders” you talked to?
“There is nothing wrong with being conservative. There is nothing wrong with having socially conservative views — I don’t object to that. But if the party wants to have a future in this country, it has to face some realities. In another 20 years, the majority in this country will be the minority.”
Nothing wrong with being conservative, but you need to sell out so you can win elections. What a walking hypocrite. There is also something almost racist about his statement. Is he saying Hispanics are incapable of understanding conservatism? Believe me, if Colin Powell was really a conservative someone would be reading between the lines there. Maybe he is just ignorant.
“Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh? Is this really the kind of party that we want to be when these kinds of spokespersons seem to appeal to our lesser instincts rather than our better instincts?”
Here is the the real clincher that Powell is a liberal. There is nobody more conservative than Rush Limbaugh. If you respect and believe in the ideas of Ronald Reagan you don’t try to make people believe Rush does not represent conservatives. You also don’t make those vague statements. I can do the same. Colin Powell “seems” to be a racist. Seems to be. Seems to me. Maybe he is and maybe he isn’t. Let’s just throw it out there.
What a deceiver Colin Powell turned out to be. Or should I stay slick and say what a deceiver he “seems to be.” This is an example of why people shouldn’t like someone simply because of the eloquence of their speech. There views may be different than what you assumed them to be. Powell was a sneaky RINO and I doubt he was ever a conservative. He just used the party for his own personal gain. So it seems.
