I’m am not rooting for impeachment of Barack Obama and it’s probably a long shot that enough would come out on this BlagoGate thing to keep him from taking office. There is, however, a dark cloud hanging over Barack Obama and Chicago politics, which are undeniably connected.
A special prosecutor seems more than a possibility after the Governor or Illinois was arrested on a long list of corruption charges, such as trying to sell Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat. If it were a novel it might be a little too sensational for a good read. Yet here we are and corrupt Chicago politics and Antoin Tony Rezko and the boys are poised for a comeback with a scandal that might make Richard Nixon look like a choir boy.
Barack Obama is a very smart guy. All the scandals and associations have appeared to be just out of arms reach. I think it is safe to say that a lot of people have been put in jail for less of a money trail than some of Barack Obama’sdealings with the likes of Acorn and William Ayers.
It is hard to believe at the least, that people working for Barack Obama are not in on some of these scandals. It’s almost impossible to fathom given all these associations/connections. Like I said, Barack Obama is a smart guy. He also seems to be a lucky guy. One has to wonder if U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald rushed this in anticipation of Barack Obama taking over in January. His seedy connections together with a lack of direct fingerprints are almost mafia-like. He makes slick Willy look like Willy the magnet.
I have been fascinated by the connections of Barack Obama to ACORN, William Ayers, Antoin Tony Rezko and others and their own connections. It is scary stuff. With all the billowing smoke coming from each scandal I have wondered which one would be the one to make people sit up and take notice. It seems that the Antoin Tony Rezko connection has that potential, along with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. There is a weaving together of these connections that is difficult to ignore.
Barack Obama seems like a very nice guy. Perhaps he has used these awful connections to gain office, only to be totally different from those who put him there. Maybe he is an angel who somehow flew out of the depths of hell to save us all. That is a long shot to be sure, but a lot of people seem willing to gamble on the possibility. However, if the end justifies the means, maybe we should at least take another look at Richard Nixon and maybe give him a far better place in history for what he wanted to do, instead of what he was caught doing.
“I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening.” — Barack Obama
“I know he’s talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.” — David Axelrod, Obama’s top adviser said on Fox News just a few weeks ago in regards to Obama’s Senate replacement.
