Blago Comment the Media Claims Exonerates Barack Obama May Actually Implicate Him

The media has been saying that the Blago comment where he complains Obama won’t give him anything for the Senator’s seat shows Obama’s innocence. But does it? How does Blago know Obama won’t give him anything? Was he asked? If so, what did Barack Obama do about it? Wouldn’t it be his responsibility to turn the Governor in for such an action? Maybe he did, but his own comments show an attempt to distance himself from any knowledge of this scandal.

Even Rod Blagojevich’s complaint about not getting anything from Obama doesn’t really mean there wasn’t a negotiation. He may have simply been complaining that he’s not getting nearly what he felt the deal was worth. It really seems that someone knew something here. Obama stopped midstream during his denial of knowledge when he started to say “we” didn’t know anything and instead went to “I” didn’t know anything.

Maybe Obama did turn Blago in. Anything is possible. One thing seems likely to me – That Barack Obama and or members of his team knew something about this. The response to that knowledge may be where the President-elect’s guilt or innocence in BlagoGate lies.

BLAGOJEVICH said that the consultants (Advisor B and another consultant are believed to be on the call at that time) are telling him that he has to “suck it  up” for two years and do nothing and give this “motherfucker [the President-elect] his  senator.  Fuck him.  For nothing?  Fuck him.”

“I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so we were not — I was not aware of what was happening, and as I said it is a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment.” — Barack Obama
