Kerry said: “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.” (Translation for those who need it: If you are in the military, you are either stupid, lazy or both). It also implies that soldiers themselves are not proud of what they are doing. It is really shameful, but John Kerry has a history of remarks that insult soldiers, both past and present. It is so typical of liberals to say they support the troops, but demean them with backhanded comments. Comments which either suggest our soldiers are no better than the terrorists or imply they are not competent enough to win.
